Manny is overprotective of Peaches, sure, but that's a new flaw, not an old one. I mean, the character is right where he/she was at the beginning of the other movie! This happens to Manny a lot, but not in this movie! In this movie, every character is where he/she is expected to be. It seems like an entire movie was wasted. It's super frustrating and disappointing. They didn't 'reset' the characters!!! Yay! You know the feeling, right? You go to see a sequel to a good movie, and it seems like some of the characters have been reset and have had no character development that stayed from the first movie. I don't think Pangaea ever existed, but since the scene where Scrat broke apart the world was played more for laughs than to be believed as an actual fact, I'm okay with it. Peaches has a crush on a teen-aged mammoth named Ethan until she realizes he's the kind of boy who's a bad influence. They look creepy, they can change their appearance, and they will eat you if you get close enough.ĭiego falls in love with Shira.

Finally, after 10 years, they make a sequel worthy of its predecessor.
